In general most palms are "slow" compared to many tropical plants Are you potted or in the ground?? Most pick up speed as the trunk forms but several years are usually necessary particularly from seedling stage
That's the reason they get the big bucks for larger plants.
lol majesties usually grow fairly fast but still 5/10 years from seed to seeding gary

Thanks for the reply. I did put it into the ground with
some palm food bought at Lowe's. I'll just expect that
it'll take awhile to get going.

Majesties are among the fastest growing of palms--which is why the big box stores sell them virtually to the exclusion of anything else. They like water and regular feeding. I would also add that if you just recently transplanted, it will take a bit of time to go into a growth cycle. As I posted on another thread, my Queen palms seemed to do nothing last year. I transplanted last Summer, still nothing. This season the growth is tremendous! If you take it from the plants perspective, new leafy growth is a luxury, first they have to put down good roots in case of drought. Speaking of which, don't neglect their watering...they like it moister than most palms.

The attached article speaks to the waterlogged conditions to which this species is curiously adapted. (Shame to read that they are endangered in their native habitat!)

Thanks for the reply. I'll expect that it will take a little
bit of time for it to really get going. Down the street from
me there is a beautiful Majesty palm that has a huge
trunk, and it is near the water. I'll try to water it often and
feed it good also.

You'll get a trunk on it eventually, but it definitely will take patience since they grow leaves fast, but most of them will not grow a trunk right away. They are beautiful palms and definitely worth the wait since they look nice without their even without their trunk.
