Depending on where you are in Ariz, how cold was it last winter during the freeze. While Queens are very hardy, the prolonged cold might have affected them or just weakened them. They are HUNGRY plams. I cannot stress that enough. I feed mine constantly here in Tampa Bay, and they look the best in the neighborhood. Poor nutritiom leads to "frazzle top" and yellowing, also stunting. Greg in Tampa Bay who had .75" of rain yesterday! YIPPEE>>>

Thanks to all the follow-ups. Great advice. We do feed the palms and fertilize...had our gardener start doing it regular once a month. I'll pick up the 3in1, thank you! To TAMPA...yeah..we think our palms look great, too...no frizzle top and all green, but those two smaller ones. It did really freeze hard core this past year. Maybe those smaller two were more susceptible. We've been getting our monsoon over here...lots of wind, rain, and humidity! LOVE IT. Although, my poor palms get blown around like crazy when that wind picks up! Thanks again guys/gals!!

If you haven't sprayed with a fungiside I would. You need lots of water with that heat you have there.Also the type of fertilizer your using can make a big difference also.

What kind of fertilizer for queen palms and pigment date palms

Do you have spear pull out. If so a copper based fungicide should be applied and the growing point protected from all water if possible. Arizona makes me think of sandy soil nutrient deficient soils particularly the traces and minors. I like the Agriform tablets. The nitrogen is is urea formaldehyde based so very slow releasing, contains all the traces and micros for palms and lasts for up to 2 years. Somewhat pricey as compared to a sack of fert but very convenient and complete for palms.
