introduction and a question about peanuts :)

Hello all! I'm new here, and thought I would introduce myself. I'm dody, and live in Jenks. Because I haven't been having much success in my (traditional) garden the past few years, I tried sfg this year. I got my fall seeds in a bit late, but I'm trying.

My question is this: my peanuts (first attempt)are growing fine, but I'm not sure when to harvest them. They don't seem to be slowing at all, and I want to make sure I get them out of the ground before they rot, or we have a freeze. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Glad to be here, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi dody, I'm seedmama. I don't know the answer to your question, but I wanted to say welcome. It's a bit slow here this time of year, but overall this is a busy and friendly forum. Someone will be along soon enough who can help you. I'm pleased you introduced yourself!

george, thank you so much, that was exactly the info i was looking for! i have 4 angora bunnies (contained) and 1 wild "yard" bunny, and thankfully he hasn't been tempted to sample my garden much this year... and thank you for the warm welcome, seedmama, i'm looking forward to learning alot from you all! :)
