    TheyÂre looking very nice.

I envy you, IÂm up north in zone 5 and have another month to go before mine go outside.

    Good job,

Looking good. I'm in Central Florida and have had my plants outside for about a month. Growth has been terrific for me as well. I like the setup with the rubber bin. I may have to try that in the future.

They look beautiful but that's way too many plants for the tote. Sorry to say that, we grow in totes also and the peppers may look small now but they will expand greatly. We never put more than two peppers to an 18 gallon tote, if it's a rocoto only one per container as they are space hogs, will take over the whole pot. Yours are small enough I'd move some of them to a different container. JMO Jackie

Lookin nice! They're quite green & have the normal healthy leaf curl that pepper plants get. =) My Yellow bell plant is the only one i've started hardening off so far, but the others (Serrano, Jalapeño Early Organic, California Wonder Bell, Cayenne & Mucho Nacho Jalapeño) will be soon to follow.

It was 96* the other day when I took that pic. I have since shaded the container as they seemed to be cookin a bit. I plan on adding bark to the black plastic to further help with the heat.

They are, and will be extemely crowded, but I have had success with high density planting like this in an Earthbox

Juuuuust a bit crowded, but thats ok

Now you're just showing off! :)

I'm in zone 5 and my peppers look like your very first picture. It'll be the end of July at the earliest before I see any peppers.

    Healthy looking plants. Congrats!

Those peppers are looking mighty lush. I had the same issue with my peppers. I purchased them about one month before I could even think about planting them (lesson learned) and they were looking sickly all light green and whatnot. I planted them and a week or two later we had a short heat wave with temps in the low to high 80's. Turned out to be perfect timing and my peppers responded well. The two sickly ones are now green and and putting out buds. I personally love the tote system for heat lovers like maters, peppers and eggplant. My area is just not hot enough for them in-grouond. Post more pics of your peppers bdobs.

Wow - I WISH my peppers looked like your first pics!!! This is my first year growing them, so I don't know what I'm doing, and on top of that, it's been unseasonably cold. It's been barely 60 all week with off and on rain. And this is about the 5th bout of this weather we've had! It's 70s and sunny for a day or two, then 4-5 days of cool and rainy. My poor plants are about 3-4 inches tall and quite sad looking! Hopefully they'll survive and grow and I'll actually get some peppers! I have Orange Thai and MauleÂs Red Hot. I also have 2 banana peppers I bought and those are a good size - the two hot ones I'm growing from seed.

I have never had much seccess with growing Bells in the past. I've done pretty well with Banana and varous Hots, but never with large Bells.
This may just be my first season with a bumber drop of bells.
They are in an earthainer this year and as you can see, oing quite well

bdobs last season, my first, I grew Bells in a SWC. They did better than expected even with a very cool and shorter than normal "summer". Don't give up.

bdobs, your pepper are looking totally awesome! Great job, my husband just finished building 2 earth tainers we are going to try maters in them as we have quite a few peppers already and maters all in containers and I just could not help myself and bought a combo 3 gallon of hot banana, jalapeno and cayenne. I am addicted...........
