Just got home from my local nursery and I am one happy camper.

They said they would hold 3 About Face roses for me, "don't worry, pay for them when you pick them up." Sold two out from under me, hubby went saturday to pick them up for our anniversary and they only had one left. I went back in today to see what I could find to replace them, owners were very sorry, gave me a large fluffy something in a two gallon pot, 2 other roses at 70% off, a 1 gallon beautiful grass at 50% off and 6 - 1 gallon white pampas grass they just got in today 20% off.

Doing the happy dance for sure.

I've been doing business there for 25 years and this is the best deal I've gotten. Guess it does pay to live in a small town and do business there too, and not get upset when the purtnear 90 year old owners forget now and then. I almost felt bad taking all the discounts they offered except all their roses are 1/2 price to clear them out and I am a good long time customer. Oh yeah, they have two other roses they are holding for someone else, they have held for two weeks, guess who they are giving them to if they aren't picked up by next week, if they don't forget.
