Amelia, do you have grasshoppers or caterpillars that could be eating the leaves? Three days ago I found similar damage in the leaves of two of my plants. It turned out that Monarch butterfly caterpillars had eaten all the milkweed plants close by and then turned to the plumeria plants. Since I love those butterflies, I plucked off the caterpillars and took them to a friend's house who still has plenty of milkweed plants left. I hope your solution is as easy as mine. Good luck,

I agree, that looks like grasshopper (or something similar) damage. When I think I have grasshoppers, I go out with a hose and blast the plants and area around them (without damaging the plants, that is) - that usually startles them into the air, or at least gets them to hop, so I can catch them and feed them to our backyard lizards.
