Hi Hopeful! The first thing that will happen is the root will start to grow from the bottom - it will be white and pointy. After it has germinated pushing that root down it will start to develop inside, pushing itself up as it does. The little stem will then become a bit visible, and the cotelydons will be developing inside the seed casing, which it will begin to push off. Your misting will help soften the seed casing, enabling the seedling to push it off easier.

If I were to start again I might try see thru pots but hoping I get a good success rate from these.
I got ten mixed seeds. There was an eleventh but it didn't have the feather so not sure if it will take.

With the seedlings I don't know if the see through pots would help as much because if they germinate, the root won't be that long at all before you see "above ground action"! You will start to see it push up fairly quickly. Now, for cuttings, the clear bottles / pots are excellent because you will want to see those roots to know for sure it rooted.

I don't think the "feather" on the end of the seed is as important as the seed casing being fairly intact. I've had some split that still germinated if not split too badly.

Sounds like you're on your way to a good group of seedlings!
