East coast central Florida. The Naga I started in August and this is my second harvest. Only dropped below freezing a few times this winter. Kept them in the garage on cold nights. I picked over 25 pods Sunday off the one Naga. Josh you are the first person that enlightned me about overwintering. Keep up the good work. Now if i can get on Al's 511 mix i can really step it up. This is my 3rd year growing and I really appreciate all the help. Jamie

...and I'm hoping to get the garden planted within the next 2-3 weeks. I hope you know how lucky you are!! LOL

Yah, still in 6" pots here in Wisconsin. I am looking at a good 3 weeks yet for the ground. Maybe some containers in a week or so that I can bring in on cold nights.

Hey, Jamie, that's great to hear!

I, too, first learned about overwintering at this site. It was Willard that let me know
that all chiles are perennial. The link I've attached below is a guide on how to grow
bonsai chiles, which was posted here at Garden Web. Well, after seeing this guide, I decided
to start growing chiles just to see how long I could keep one alive. Here I am four years
later....still growing my first pepper, and having added a bunch of other varieties.

    The rest is history ;-)

I'm with TSHEETS, hoping I can get planted within tree weeks or so. Still pretty cold here in Michigan. Peppers look good...can't wait.

I just put eleven plants in the ground, and I'm keeping them cloched overnight.
Our night-time temps are still in the low 40F's.

I have five plants under lights. Not sure where I'm going to plant them ultimately.

That bonsai chile looks awesome. I cannot grasp the patience it takes to do something like that. Could you imagine having a choclate hab bonsai or a ghost chili bonasi. That would be sweet. Hope it warms up soon. I will not tell you my average temps here. It will erk you guys. Thanks again

I just wanted to show off my huge hot red savina. I can attest that overwintered peppers definitely produce bigger pods.
