Sounds good to me. All the plants I've gotten have had their leaves snipped off for shipping, and maybe this helps prevent scaring me with shocked leaves like that. The roots I've gotten from Fuzzy were a lot more than that, but I suspect yours will root just fine.
Maybe trim off the leaves so it can focus on rooting?
Which variety is it?

Fred, I think those roots are a bit small, but not unusual for being purchased early in the season. The leaves should have all been cut off for shipment, but overall I think the plant should be fine. If you have concerns email the seller now, just in case the plant doesn't make it.

I understand your concern but i think it looks fine. Like Disney mentioned, most send without the leaves so i would cut them off and let it focus on rooting. The bottom of the cutting doesn't look like a clean cut, but i see nice roots. I would go ahead and pot up.

Some of my cuttings that i received had roots like that and they did fine. Just relax and let it grow... However, i would email the seller and just make a note in case you need to touch base with him again. That way you know you made a point to contact him and hopefully, you won't have to contact him again about this cutting .

Personally I would cut those leaves ASAP. I've gotten a number of "rooted" cuttings like that. When the leaves are cut they continue rooting and do just fine. When the leaves are left they become stressed, lose water quickly through the bad leaves, begin to shrivel, and develop transplant shock. Also be sure it place it in filtered light, and not direct, so it can adjust to its new surroundings.

Oh that actually doesn't look bad! You should have seen some of the rooted plants I got last year. A few lost the root ball completely! I panicked and sent it to a friend. Last I heard they are all doing fine. I have to go pick them up soon though.

But I think you should be ok. :)

Started staking everything as the weather in DFW has just been crazy with high winds.

Have 15 or so that are just rooted and are on back porch.
