Spring Planting

Hi, I just found this forum and I hope to gain some knowledge. My plumeria are over 20 years old. I inherited them from my mother. They have always been in pots in the living room, have never gone dormant. They flower very rarely and are rather spindly.

I have just planted them outside in the garden, and they seem happy for a change. I am contemplating storing the 2 larger ones bare-root in the basement this winter, and then re-planting. My question is, I'm in Central Ontario Canada, and our frost free time is June 1st to mid September. Is this enough time for the plants to revive from dormancy, and maybe flower?

Thanks so much to anyone who might be able to help me here.
