Awesome, I did that with Red Habanero powder one time and really over did it. Anxious to try that with my 7-pots this year.
How did you smoke the peppers?

It's definitely easy to overdo the hot pepper powder, I try to start small and ramp up.

Using a "cold" smoke setup, it's pretty simple really.

I put pepper halves (stems and seeds removed) onto pizza screens. Put the screens in my grill (any grill should do) and slap together a DIY cold smoke generator - a soldering iron that has never been used to solder, some tin foil to make an enclosure and some wood chips. You can find other DIY options all over the net (Google) or there are several different kinds of cold smoke generators you can buy.

I typically smoke for 1-2 hours and then finish in a food dehydrator at a fairly low temp (90-100F).

I do something similar, but I have most of my supers mixed into one bag. I like the different flavors..

Never really measured the quantities but it consisted of BBQ seasoning/powder and whatever amount of super hot powder. Another good kick is to use smoked super hot peppers as well. Gives it a good flavor.

Stole your ideal, but used reaper powder from last year. What a great ideal, thank you for sharing! I'm so sick of buying "hot" chips that taste like nothing. Imagine if your average joe bought these at the store and bit into one lol.

I'm trying to grow reapers this year. I've got some Butch T pods from last year that I'm going to try next.

The 7 Pot was already pulverized and I'm lazy...

Damn that looks good enough to eat. I hope that I can get enough to make some powder this year to try this. Keep up the recipes....
