chacoense finally germinated

I have a set of 6 different wild type seeds.

Out of the 6 only 2 have germinated so far.

All 6 were put in styrofoam cups on 04/05.

The galapagoense germinated on 04/20.

The chacoense germinated on 05/26 which is almost 2 months from when it was first sewn.

I still have 4 others that I'm hoping will germinate in the next week or two. I am not giving up!

Hi Danny,
Im glad that Chaco finally sprouted for you.I dont know why but my Chaco's also had a hard time waking up. 2 months to germinate? That gives me hope on my last 2 wilds.

I didn't have that much trouble with the Chaco. Took about 3 weeks I believe. Now I had 1 Purple Flowered Chacoense took 12 weeks to sprout! I had forgotten all about it and did not water it and it was not covered for at least a month. The soil was bone dry, yet up it came. It is amazing what they can do sometimes.

Which ones you still waiting on Kevin?

I don't know if this is a purple flowered chacoense or not. It did take an insanely long time to germinate. I so want to germinate one of my c.lanceolatums but who knows - it may not come up. I'm going to leave it until August even if it doesnt come up until then. I'm going for a record! :P
