Frost in Ohio! I'm north east and hitting 39F tonight. Don't sent it my way!!!

Will your wife notice? Not if:

1) you meet her at the front door and say let's go out for supper because you need a break;

2) you meet he at the front door and say "damd neighborhood kids broke in and made a mess in the dining room... I'll clean it up tomorrow;

3) you meet her at the door naked and say I really missed you, let's...

4) you meet her at the door and say... there's going to be a frost tonight so I know you'd be happy I brought the peppers in.

5) you get a local hotel room for the night before she gets home and hope she doesn't toss the plants outside.

Sorry, that's all I got ;-)

Nah, just tell her the room is off limits for now.

Oh boy did she notice lol. Yeah northeast Ohio is crazy, it can be 80 degrees one day and snowing two days later. AC on one day heater on the next. It is May 17th with a frost advisory, last year I got back from Mexico on june 15th and it felt hotter in Ohio than Mexico lol. Watching the weather people trying to figure it out is comical. They canâÂÂt even get the hour to hour right.

Frost this time of year? Wow. We have hit over 80F several times this month already. Frost is a thing of a past round here. Take care.

Where are you in WA, earthworm73? Definitely no more frost worries up here in Bellingham, either. WIth the plastic on the hoop houses, even my Bhut Jolokias are setting fruit now. Seems like this is going to be a good year for peppers in western Washington.

Upstate NY has frost warnings for tonight too.

LOL Scott! My dining room, living room and basement look the same way! Tomorrow the babies go back outside again.

I am also up here Sammamish/Issaquah. I think our LF was back in late March. But ith have been a long cool spring since. But we have been getting some bubbles now and then. Today's high was 64F and tonight's low will be 49F.

Despite all that , my peppers are all potted and just showing some growth. The next 10 days forecast looks good ; ( 50L to 70H).
My tomatoes are doing exceptionally well.

Yeah we have hit the 70's and 80's this month as well but we have also been in the mid to low 30's just as often.
for example:

may 5th - HI 58 LO 33
may 6th - HI 66 LO 36
may 8th - HI 85 LO 56
may 9th- HI 81 LO 65
may 17th- back into the 30's
may-19th back into the 70's

Finally looking like things are turning to summer around here after a horrendous winter/spring. Our 10 day has lows in the lower 50's or upper 40's so I will be potting up to summer containers this week. I was camping this last weekend and we also had frost watches/warnings so I brought all my plants into the house as well. I couldn't leave them in the green house as they would fry if the sun came out during the day. But now it looks like we are finally getting over the hump and the green house will come down as the peppers are shown their new summer homes.
I figure that Ohio weather is what we had and it just moved east. Hopefully your summer season will be under way this week as well.
