I can understand your confusion. (Did not realize these two can look so similiar till now.) Can you post a close up of the trunk? I think it is Rhapis.

You'd think I could be sure as I have lots of Trachys and a few different species of Rhapis, but not sure.

I'm hoping for it to be Rhapis excelsa as that is what I am looking for. They're selling this on a buy&sell website here but they don't know what it is and they've posted this photo only so maybe I will buy it eventually...

I have a few small trachys in my garden (but still can't tell the difference between some palms) and for the moment I don't need more of them - a rhapis is what I really wanted so hopefully that's what it is...

Well, if it turns out to be just another trachy - then I guess I'll have just one more trachy then... :) If I get to buy this palm here I'll post a close up for better identification... Thanks again.
