Chelated Palm Nutritional

Okay I know this isn't news to some of you....but I have decided that I really REALLY like this stuff.

I have had a bottle for what seems like forever, at least 4 years. I bought it because heliconias like a micronutrient spray occasionally. Mostly its been just sitting on the shelf in the garage. I used to add a tablespoon to the sprayer when I sprayed Miracle Gro, but then I kinda just forgot about it.

I try hard to be a "good plant mom". I pay attention to the temperatures, to light, I prune, I kill bugs, I weed and fertilize on a regular basis. I even bought a special fertilizer for my palms, not just my usual 15-30-15 or 10-50-10.

But I have never really paid attention to micronutrients.

I was walking out to the greenhouse yesterday and my eye got caught by the bottle of Chelated Palm Nutritional. So I decided...why not? I mixed up a gallon, took a hand sprayer and went out.

I sprayed all my palms, and had quite a bit left over, so I started looking around at other plants. I have a couple of anthuriums (watermaliense, clavinerum) that are kinda chronically yellow in spite of regular fertilization. So I spritzed them. Then I spritzed a few Vanda orchids that looked like they might want some. Then I hit the Lasia spinosa in the pond that had yellowed up some. Then I thought, hey, lets make it a party, and I spritzed TONS of stuff!

When I went out today, I was AMAZED at the difference in quite a few of my plants! GREENED UP (probably from the Iron) and just 100% BETTER and HEALTHIER looking! I mean, I could REALLY see the difference in a lot of them.

I am a believer in this stuff and will be using it every 3 months along with my slow release palm fertilizer.
