I don't remember what the price was before, but the local retail price of pecan meats just keeps going up, and our wholesale price to the grower is still really low, so we can still make more $ selling directly to people at about 60% of the retail price.

The local retail price is $12 per lb for good meats shelled out at USDA approved facilities, and the wholesale price equivalent we get as growers is only a small fraction of that. My parents handle the ones we sell directly to customers and it drives them crazy to think you might be paying $10-$12 per lb for something not as good as what we can sell at $7 and still make more profit than selling wholesale. My mom asks me every day that I am down there working at the farm if I have heard from you yet.

Thanks Scott for contacting me about the pecans. Again the pecans were great. Everyone I've shared them with can't believe how fresh and tasty they are. Please let me know next year if they have any. I may need more before the winter is over. Jay
