Derrick's Maui Rainbow

What do you guys think? Is this worth keeping?

This is a newly-rooted cutting from Derrick (Piece of Paradise), that started blooming while rooting. The flower is very small -- maybe only 1.5 inches in diameter.

The smell is a classic frangipani of peaches and coconut -- quite nice actually.

The coloration is nice too, but I'm not enamored by the thin petals as much (or the small flower size).

Do you think as the plant gets established the flowers will get bigger? Does anyone have this variety? His site says it's to get to 4" in flower size, so likely it will just take time. His photo looks somewhat like Mardi Gras.

This was a freebie, by the way. A very beefy cutting.

The tip that is blooming is only about 4 inches long from the previous bloom location, so maybe that's an indication it's a compact plant, or it was just taken from a very mature tree.

Thanks for looking!
