All of the flowers will lose color as they age over a few days after they open. How quickly this occurs depends on the particular characteristics of the variety, and probably the amounts of sun, water and fertilizer it is getting. I would say the best thing you could do is to go ahead and begin watering it as long as you have fast draining soil. It probably doesn't have a lot of roots yet but it should have some if the inflo has grown and bloomed.

They all lose their color? that is whe whole reason why I got these to see the colors. Will it come back or is it due to not getting enough sun light.
I have been watering it since the leaves have been coming out, I thought that is when you water it. I use regular tap water. It is in the 90-100's daily. Should i fertilize now or is it too soon? Thank you

Some varieties keep their colors better than others.

As far as fertilizer, I think different people have different ideas. I use a time release 13-13-13 and a foliar spray once a week.
