I seen these 2 itty bitty seedlings last year and left them not knowing if they were weed or not. Pretty sure they came on their own. They are 2 nice looking plants this year and I think they may be a Potentilla sp.
Can anyone names some Potentilla that have trifoliate leaves or do they all have leaves in 5's like Cinquefoil? Leaves are alternate, pubescent, serrated and on a reddish hairy stem. Looks like they may be forming flower buds..if nobody has a clue I'll report back what the flower looks like.
Thanks,
Vera
