Nice plant. Never seen one with longer leaves than the plant itself. That could be from lack of sun light. Dont know never owned one, but my agaves start looking etiolated after spending winter inside. Regardless great job keeping it alive without taking it outside. If you were to take it out it might start to grow upwards to 10' with a big enough pot. FYI, pony tail palms are not palms at all.

I decided the pot was too big so I repotted this pony tail palm in a 5 inch nursery pot and put it in a new container from Home Depot. The plant almost immediately shed 2/3 of its lower leaves. The rest look fine and the plant probably looks better. It is certainly easier to water now.
