Are you fertilizing? With what/how often?

MG watering and V-11 folar just like the rest! might pull it and move on. I have 2 others that have not gotten bigger than 2 inches in 2 mos. Hopeing for 300 plants next year. Scotch bonnet and NAGA Morich are going good the Mustard Habs are also taking off these plants are for seed stock

Funny, as I had seen the lower growth beginning on the bottoms of a couple of mine as well with a delayed upwards growth. I too will be watching this to learn more as well.

Did you say you do foliar feeding? How much?

So many variables. I wouldn't pull it though. I had some do this and now they are fine. In fact they are some of my bushiest plants with the most pods setting.

I don't know if I was over/under fertilizing, over/under watering or what but they snapped out of it, leaves flattened and branches shot out.

Only thing I can say about my methods that may be relevant to this is that I don't foliar feed.

I'm with chuck... leave them be for now. Many of the Chinenses I've grown do the whole "stall at growth, bunch of tiny lower nodes" thing and then just decide to take off.

That's normal growth. The plant is simply growing leaves, back-budding along the trunk. It means that there's enough sunlight to support new leaves. This is also a good thing because it provides the plant and the potting mix with some shade.

That's good to know because my Moruga is doing the same thing..tons of lower nodes but, getting new top growth too.
