Mike, she looks very happy! Grown a lot this year and made a good inflo--can't ask for more than that. Hopefully the side branch blooms for you next year.

That is one very nice looking plant and it has certainly grown good. I love the blooms on it.

just wanted to update. this was from this morning. The scent is still nice but not very strong. You have to be within a foot or so to catch a wiff. Other than that I love this tree. The foliage is very dark green. Since it will have 3 new tips I would like to cut the bottom branch next year and root it. I think it will give the tree better shape. When I do how can I keep it from trying to re-branch from there.

I like how you have plunged your pots. I bet that helps in all ways especially with the wind and protecting the roots from the heat. Smart!! : )

Question? Did you add mulch around holes after you made them? The soil looks like it has a lot of clay in it. If you make your hole larger and mulch first then sink your pot, it might help from the water sitting to long in your pots causing root rot. Just something to think about. It all looks wonderful tho!! I just want it to drain properly for you!! Beautiful trees!! : )

Yeah Im a bit embarrassed by this flower bed. I had full intentions of mulching it but before I knew it the cannas and bananas took over and there really isnt a need now. All though it looks like it has a lot of clay its very sandy and drains pretty good. With the drought we are having I would love for too much water to be my problem.
