Yellow nutsedge vs. purple lovegrass

I have about a 1/2 acre meadow most of lovegrass and wiregrass, and the most undesirable weed I have going is yellow nutsedge. It rained quite a bit this year in June, so the nutsedge got going pretty good. The other grasses are bigger, so perhaps they'll out-compete it. I am planning on not mowing until spring hoping to prevent some nutsedge germination. Any thoughts on chances of the nutsedge being out-competed, or should I use manage or image to battle the nutsedge?

If all you have are grasses...maybe check out Imazapic. There has been some conflicting info on it's affect on native forbs. So do your research first. It is used in Cotton and Peanuts in Florida and in Prairie or CRP management in other states....
