Very nice Stoney. I'm still waiting on a bunch of those too but yours are farther along then mine. Most are just flowering now.

My chocolate ghost looks like your ghost, big and flowering, but my red ghost looks like your choc hab. Slow grower I guess.

Your plants look awesome, healthy and fruitful. Good job, Stoney.
    I like the onion too.

Great job! Your plants look great, you'll be harvesting ripe peppers soon. Keep up the good work.

Looking good Stoney! Your Pequin is much further along than mine. I don't ever worry though down here where the season doesn't end until winter. :)

That's a nice onion! Looks like it could have gone further and bigger though. I think you're supposed to wait until the tops start falling over. What variety? When did you plant and HOW did you start?

    Nice ones...

    Kevin,
Bought the onions as a "bunch" at HD.
Very small to start. Georgia Sweet I believe they are called.
I only pulled a couple so far..they are good!
The tops on the rest are starting to fall over and brown.
A little bigger than that but not much.

How are your peppers coming along? It's warming up here!

    When I first planted them:

Oh. OK. You did "sets." I've been tempted to buy them but I've read that they don't produce very large bulbs.

My plants? Always good. :) Just a bit late this year because I started later than usual. I've harvested a few Big Jims and Japs and all but the Bhuts and the Pequin are putting on pods en masse. Should update in the near future.

    Very nice!

    Yes you are correct, "sets".
Forgot thr term. Yes smaller but mature very fast!
I'll be doing something larger next season.

"sets" refers to small onions, I believe. What you planted was "plants". Onions being biennial, some larger sets tend to bolt but plants don't do that. I have planted something similar some years ago called "Texas Sweets"

Those are sets seysonn. You can tell from the browning. Plants(sprouts) wouldn't have any browning when being planted.

Stoney: I think you may have planted, just a tad, too deep. When I've seen sets planted, they leave about half the bulb ABOVE the soil surface.

Ok, thanks Kevin. Never planted them before.
