Not familiar with your specific palm BUT there are several fungal diseases that affect/kill palms. If yours has one of these the chances of survival is slim to none. a systemic fungicide MAY help.

the stem dose turn brown.
is the root comming out of the nut yet?
and rember they love lots and lots of water, mine is about 5ft and I give it 1/2 gallon of water a week.

This isn't a coconut palm. The label on the plant reads Hawaiian Palm. I think I let it get too cold this winter. I was wondering if there's any way to reroot the plant.
