but whats the harm in trying.. slice it clean.. stick it in some media in a pot.. cover with a plastic bag ... it either rots or grows... good luck

You need some of the stem in order to propagate croton. It won't grow roots and shoots from leaf tissue.

Very old thread here, but I found this video. Even a child can do it. Now even though she shows that the leaf cutting will grow roots, she does not show that it actually grows into a plantlet. So I don't know.

Did your Croton ever take root? I'm trying to start one from a leaf cutting?
