Congratulations on getting your Celadine to root...especially from such a small cutting!

Okay, I will try and help you answer your questions. If your tree ever gets to the point where it is too big for you to handle, you can cut it back. Many of us have to do this, especially if we don't live in an area that is frost free all year.

What I would do is root prune your tree first. This may sound dramatic but you literally knock out the tree's root ball from it's pot, and cut off 1/3 of the root ball. Now, what you have taken from the bottom, you should also take from the top. I's up to you how much you want to cut the branches back. If it is going back into the same pot, just remove enough growth to keep the tree from blowing over.

Now as for the eggs, me myself, I still will toss in an egg or two every spring depending on how big the tree is. I really do think that adding the raw egg, even when the tree is rooted and growing is beneficial.

thanks! it grew three branches and an inflo in about 6 months so it's doing okay. it's little friend next to it hasn't done anything, but its not rotten so i'll just leave it and hope for the best.
I don't think i'll have to worry about the celadine being too big for a while but what you've said is good to know
