Crinium Lily

I have a huge, 20 year old, crinium lily. This year it sent up three flower stalks, each stalk with over 25 flowers on it. So, clearly, it's growing fine. But in all these years it's never sent up a shoot/pup or whatever you call them so that I can propagate it. I see criniums that turn into clumps of plants elsewhere, but not mine.

So, are there male and female of this species? or do you know why hasn't it increased in numbers?
