I was recently successful with the stratification of some red pine seeds,I had planted them as soon as the quick was exposed. They grew to the point that the seeds fell off and soon after began to wilt and die.(I was growing five seedlings in one pot.) I am about to begin the process anew but do not want the same failure. I made sure not to over water checking the soil before hand. Was it poor soil without enough nutrients? Should I not grow so many in one pot.
