A tale of a Pathos

We tossed a piece of Pathos in an aquarium with some guppies and a big fancy fantail goldfish. It grew about six inches a year for a few years but then quit growing and loosing leaves. We had changed the lights because of algae. Perhaps the Pathos didn't like the new light.

Back about December we took out a leafless stem of Pathos with roots and planted it in potting soil. It lost its few remaining leaves and was about to be trashed when, just recently, in April, it started to put out a new leaf.

Go figure. Or at least there was a time when we would have said ''go figure''.
