What is this pepper?

I bought a 6-pack of jalapeno plants, and 5 of them look like this. The peppers started green, then some of them got purple streaks. The newest peppers are growing in red. They are not ripe, but they are spicy.The plants are still small (>1 foot), but kind of bushy, and producing a ton of peppers. All of my other peppers are just starting to flower. What do you all think it could be?

Hot Hungarian Wax Peppers. They are sun scalded and that is the reason for the coloring. It is not a problem.

I think they might be too small to be Hungarian Hot Wax. The peppers are about 2-3 inches long, and they don't look like they're going to get much bigger.

You could be right annatei. But they are growing upwards and have the same basic shape as HHW. HHW are usually early producers too. There are however several other varieties that grow their fruit upwards. I am sure someone with some more pepper experience has an opinion.
