Grafting ?

I want to try my hand at grafting. I have a couple sand cherry bushes. I also have some peach,plum,and cherry trees. I have heard stone fruits can be grafted together. Will the sand cherry have a good rootstock for the stone fruit scions. I was also wondering if a sweet cherry scion can be used with the sand cherry rootstock. Im just looking for some dwarfing style bushes. thanks
