Earlier, during the dormant season, I cut some scions from 2 trees and interchanged grafts. The Gravenstein tree grafts from the Granny Smith took nicely but, I had comlete failure working onto the Granny Smith. The granny was a month later in blossom time but, that could be normal. These are all my neighbors trees and both 20+ years old.

So is the Granny Smith just contankerous?
