I did this last summer to save some over the winter here in Ohio. I floated them upside down until the roots were about 1/2 to 3/4 inches long then planted in soil. Hope this helps.

Soon as you have little roots you can pot them up. Not fussy at all. Get them out into full sun and hot weather and they will grow like crazy.

When I plant it, do I still plant it upside down? Does it matter? Do I plant the whole thing under the soil or do I leave some part out? Thank you.
