My husband brought home a chunk of wood with several small budding branches on it and asked me to root it. I don't know what it is, it came from a tree my father-in-law had which I don't even remember what it looked like. When I asked what kind of tree it was all he knows is that its a 'hybrid' -- a hybrid of what, I don't know! My gut tells me it's some kind of lilac. Could somebody give me a clue on how to root it?
