lesson in stupidity

I looked around the corner and saw my 5' Intense Rainbow sprawled out on the lawn. It had fallen over. As I ran over I prayed "please don;t be broken" I picked it up and was thrilled to find no damage.I thought of calling my wife to hold it but It seemed stable, so I ran 10 feet to grab my plastic tie so I could secure it to a nearby post. As I returned I saw it topple and heard a loud crack. A nine branch arm had snapped off on this fall. Even worse, it had three flowering inflos on that branch. You would think I would learn. Not the first time. Aahrgg.

Oh No! "Tragic" I would have cried. I'm sure all of us could have kicked ourselves for some dumb mistake we've made. Look at the bright side, you now have a beautiful new IR to root.

Oh man. That stinks. I cant count how many times I have taken a chance on something having a feeling it could go wrong and sure enough it does. too bad you dont have room. that would be a nice start to a new tree.

Since it fairly fresh what about trying to graft it back to itself?

I feel sick right now, Bill, as I do when things like that happen to me. Could have happened to almost anyone, but it sure does suck.
