Wow, news travels quickly. We had two noticeable earthquakes, both minor jolts of about 4.5 magnitude centered under Yorba Linda in northern Orange County, one last night around 11:30 pm and the other this morning at 9:30 am. I am not aware of any damage anywhere, usually has to be 5.0 or above for that. Thanks for the concern from all of us OC'ers ;)

Thank God!! Between the earthquake and the fires in Oklahoma its really a bad time. Hope everyone is safe and sound!!

Jackie. We had earthquakes here last fall also. The only thing we haven't had here are hurricanes.

One quick jolt...nothing much to write home about. No
damage either. It was over almost as soon as it began.

Sounded like somebody dropped something really heavy, like
a piano or something, in the next room.

I didn't even feel the one this morning. Or any of the 35
or so earthquakes in the same area since last night.
Most were below 3.0 which you don't even feel.

Wrong Mike, ya'll get the hurricanes after they are downgraded and no longer called a hurricane, but they do damage and cause deaths all the way to Canada.

I thought we were having earthquakes this week and last, the whole house was shaking! But they were just tearing down the hurricane damaged school behind us. Finally.
