it may speed up the process some but using rooting hormone will speed the process much more IT WILL increase the % of cuttings that root.... & insure the cuttings will not dehydrate as quick.

The misting simply raises the humidity, which keeps the new cutting from drying out before the roots start. The hormone both helps the cutting start growing roots and preventing the cut surface from being attacked by fungus. Keeping the soil warm with a bottom heating mat will also speed up the growing of roots, not so important in summer temperatures. Al
