"Pyscho" is Bills AKA for what he has said may be Gardena. Bill named theirs that because it never shuts down in the winter and blooms like mad.We all call it that because the name is fitting. Its not Garden"i"a which is a totally different plant.

Mike is correct. Psycho was named by Bill's beautiful wife who called it that since it wouldn't slow down and kept on blooming and she simply named it " Psycho". We here on this forum are used to the term, others on FB like the name of its origin where George Crochet named it after the area it was growing in which is " Gardena" California. Like mike said. It isn't the other named tree called " Gardenia". Two different trees.

Interesting....I bought this plant labeled "Gardenia." This looks like it might actually be Gardena/Psycho. If so, I'm looking forward to some crazy blooms!

I am looking forward to my Psycho blooms too! I was fortunate enough to be given 3 huge cuttings from a very generous member on this forum. 4 years later and even though I lost one of them the other 2 are nice good sized trees, and one of them I found 2 new inflos growing! I can't wait for that scent...I'm a happy camper :)

They're also super easy to start cuttings.

I could see how people could get Gardena and Gardenia mixed up easily.

I saw someone at a Plumeria booth at the Orange County Fair this year (outside by the animals) had them with another AKA - 'Rolling Hills'.
