I have been offered my choice of cuttings from the very jungley property I work on, by the grounds keeper. Several of the trees have orchids hanging off them, and I noticed what look like some offshoot babies or 'keikis' as they are called here in hawaii.
I have never had an orchid before, and found the basic care information via google. But am trying to figure out 1: what kind of orchid this is, and if the type makes a difference in care. and 2: how to go about separating/potting/remounting the keiki without killing it. Here is a picture of the keiki.
