I think that Bridal Bouquet is an evergreen variety. The leaves have a different shape, sort of spade like. The flowers of BB don't have a scent either.

This is "Plumeria stenophylla hybrid" (aka:Stenopetala)
It is an evergreen variety that originated from the Dominican Republic. It has a dwarf, compact habit of growing and it produces a lot of seeds. The seedlings grow true to form and quickly.

Joanna the flowers on that plant are so pretty. Do they have a scent?

Karyn1 - the Florida Colors catalogue says this is highly scented. And is sold as grafted plant only per FC. I hope this helps.

Other evergreens:
Singapore (white)
Singapore (yellow) called Mele Pa Bowman
Be aware that the evergreens are very tropical and die at the drop of a hat from cold. The white is expecially sensitive and in Calif. usually will only grow very close to the ocean. I have a Mele Pa Boman that is doing fine in a warm corner (southwest)but many I know have lost whites within three years. I know of some in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach where the ocean influence allows them to survive.

Tdog can they handle being in a heated greenhouse over the winter? I'm asking because I can get Bridal Bouquet very inexpensively, $22 for a 4' tree but if it can't be wintered over in a gh than it's not worth it.
Karyn

Yes they all can but you must move them in before any cold sets in. One good surprise blast and youre dust.

Thanks for all the replies. I was pretty sure that was an evergreen. I could probably grow them here in S Fl as we get very few cold days and moving them inside during those days would not be a big deal. I'm not far from the Atlantic ocean, 6 miles so perhaps that will help also.
