Sorry- here's another pic of another batch... Pretty bummed out! Was hoping for a higher chance of germination.

That happened to some of mine also Chuy! I ended up tossing the ones that had the mold. I then let the paper towel dry and re-soaked it to see if the rest would sprout but it didn't work. :(

I just planted them directly in potting mix. First batch had 100% germination rate. The next... I can't say for now, it might take weeks for some of them to sprout. :)

I also just pot up... Right into mix.. No soaking for me, everyone has different methods...

Sorry you all are having this happen. Sometimes it seems when we try so hard, it seems to be a problem.

I know it might be to late for these seeds.. Looks like they are not viable any longer with the fungus...

    Hope I am wrong..

    Take care,

Aaahhhh!!! That doesn't look good! By a few days you should have had some sprouts. Maybe too much water, too warm... Did you zip the bag closed?
I think I might have sent you some if my Carnival seeds... If those rotted you might just need to swing by and pick up a potted little one from me. I've got 40 more seeds I just put in paper towels this weekend so I might have more soon too (Penang Peach, Carnival, Kimi Moragne and some noid)...
I think those seeds are a loss though from the photos :(

Mark- will have to toss them :(, I didn't think the moldy ones would survive.
Mima- Going to plant the few I have in cactus mix/perlite... thank you for your advice :)
Laura- :(, I think you're right, I might have tried a bit too hard!! But that's how we all learn. lol
Disney- Yes, I did receive some Carnival and I thank you so much! hhhhmmm, swing by? lol. thank you

I held back four seeds of Carnival and put them in paper towels just this past Thursday... All four are looking good... I can't mail them at this point but I'm in Yorba Linda CA if you want them... They are pretty much ready for soil... I think my other seeds are getting close like this too except Penang Peach which is slow to germinate... I was going to do all these seeds next April but figured "why not"...

Chuy, don't forget to keep the soil moist, not wet but not dry either. I spray-water them daily or even twice a day in this heat wave. After they pop up and grow a bit more I even water them with small quantities of water with ST or Epsom salt, or simply water, daily too.

    Good luck!

Ugh... Have the opposite problem... I forgot to plant these Kimi M seedlings and I think they are too embedded in the paper towel... All 15 did sprout though...

I've gotten literally 100% germination rates from seeds from Fuzzy (bloomingplumerias on eBay)... Six different kinds plus the freebie noids. Carnival from Matt H had pretty close to 100%...
