"right at the joint" Personally, I think your in luck because that's the part that
I have actually found roots the best for me. ;-]

Try the following options;-

- Trim off all the leaves and keep the cutting in clean water in a sheltered outdoor
location or sunny window indoors.

- Make two cuttings, trim off the tip and plant in a well drained mix aided with
rooting hormone. Use a propagation cube. Sheltered outdoor location is best.

- Go ahead and plant it in the ground close to the mother plant. I would trim off
all the leaves and also make two cuttings out of it. Trim off the tip, all leaves
and use rooting hormone.
