Back in 2008 I bought what was supposed to be a Thai Orange Splendor from a vendor calling themselves "Cuckooznest" on Ebay. It came with the tip broken off, was very slow growing and when it finally struggled to produce one or two small malformed flowers two years ago, they were definitely not orange but seemed more lavender in color. Repotted last year, it grew a bit more robust, but no flowers. I took the plunge and planted it in the yard this spring. Growth has improved, a few more flowers but most have been small, starting lavender-ish but then fading to off-white. Well this past week it must finally be settling in because it is starting to produce nicer, larger flowers that even seem to have a mild fragrance for the first time. But I'm totally unable to figure out what variety it might be.... the plant was grafted, so presumably the vendor wanted to reproduce this variety.
Any suggestions?
