crape myrtle cuttings

Hi need some advice please. I have several crape myrtles i have started from cuttings. Would it be best to plant them in the ground for the winter or pot them and put them in an unheated greenhouse? I live in north Alabama zone (7) so I have a couple months before the first frost. Also does one cutting make a full plant or do people tend to plant 2 or 3 together?

each cutting in time will form a full plant if you are in a hurry plant 2-3 together........
Yes plant in soil now give 1 month for plant to root in & 1 month to harden off... mulch eavely after ground freeses & not soil must be kept damp all winter long so if thaws re water

I have an add-on question...do crapes need to have a dormant stage or can you keep growing them under grow lights?

once a plant enters the dormant stage its hard to very hard to get it to start growing again.... till some time has passed..... each species will have a different time
