I have 3 beautiful white heliotrope plants that have been growing strong and healthy in my yard now for 2 years.

I've tried planting purple and a white one from another nursery, but haven't had such success with size nor form form of the plant. The other weird thing is that the deer don't seem to eat these white ones I've planted, but every time I try to plant a purple one, they end up eating it.

I got these all at the same time in 4" pots from a nursery that hasn't carried white again the past 2 years.

Is there a way I could take cuttings from these plants to create more plants? If so, would I use the tender tips of the plants, or the more woody lower branches? Do this in Fall, Winter or Spring?

I'm in a high enough enough zone that these plants look great and flower almost all year, but start to look ratty in December, so I cut them back and they start good growth again a couple of months later.
