My friend was cutting down their tree because it was over handing in the pool and they cut off a 6ft branch and planted it in their yard without drying and left leaves and inflows on. They did this around 2 weeks ago and I haven't been back since but I'm guessing it's going to live because of the size. I've found the larger the cutting the more life force in it. I rummaged through the pile they had out front and scored around 10 at least 3 to 4 ft cuttings. It's a pink variety and has a very sweet scent. Hopefully I can get them to grow this late in the season.
