Sometimes butterflies pollinate the flowers, but otherwise I don't know what does.

Whatever pollinates a plumeria needs to be able to travel down that narrow throat of the bloom to get to the pollen. The reproductive organs of the plumeria are at the very base of the bloom, where it breaks off the inflo. Some people feel thrips can get down there. Some use horse hair or fine needles to force pollination in the hopes of developing a seed pod.

I understand it's a bug called a "thrip". The obviously don't live in Los Angeles, cuz I've never had a seed pod. And since seeds take forever to turn into flowering plants, I didn't really mind! But here is a link I found if you're gonna give it a shot.

It doesn't take forever for Plumeria seedlings to bloom !

It only require some extra - patience.

I've heard stories were Plumeria seedlings bloomed at 11 months of age !
Even if this is exceptionnal, even 3 years is not too long to wait... for what it is worth !

I had three seed pods. Some take a year and some take 3 to 5 years to bloom. Patience and so worth it to share.

Are they not pollinated at night by the Sphinx moth?
