I just picked up "Old Fashioned Flowers", " in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden series, Livingston and the Tomato" and "Restoring American Gardens 1640 t0 1940" by Denise Wiles Adams. I think the last has been mentioned here. Haven't started on that. The first is small and with limited information but a nice read. The second is a reprint of an 1893 book by Livingston, who did more to develop the tomato than anyone else. It was considered poisonous when he was a boy. Why I got books now at the height of garden season is beyond me. I probably won't get them read until next winter
