My celadine dropped a couple of buds that were only half opened and I think it was from the cooler temps, especially night time.

I hope yours will be ok. It just totally sucks to wait and then have something happen, huh?

I've had my Plastic Pink / Royal Hawaiian outside when temps were as low as 48F an it did fine, with a baby inflo an all. But with my other plumeria's I won't let them go below 50F at night time otherwise I bring them in just to be cautious.

Even my young seedlings (4-5 months old) can handle temps to 58F. I don't know about any cooler than that since I've been bringing them in when they go below that range.

Mine have seen high 50's at night for a few weeks now days in the 80-90 range and they are doing just fine. Blooms are getting sparse and a few leaves are yellowing but that comes with day length also.
Consistent temps below 60 will/can trigger dormancy. Below 32 and they will get damage.

As long as it doesn't receive lower temps like the above posters mentioned, i would leave it where it is.. it has enjoyed the place where is has been, so let it enjoy the daytime temps and you should see them open and see a beautiful show...

if the temps get lower, bring them in for the night and then place them outside. Three isn't a problem to move in and out., its when you many more.. ;-)

It varies according to variety. I wouldn't leave it out if the temp is going to be 55F or below.

Ok so the magic number is nothing lower than 50?

I only bring mine in if we are predicted to have a hard freeze. I have left them out when we got to freezing for an hour or so. I have pics of my big slaughter pink coated in snow, it snowed on Christmas eve a few years ago, it suffered no damage. Ike however killed it.
Apparently they like sitting in salt water for days even less than freezing weather. The ones growing in the ground get nothing done to them except a layer of mulch early winter.

I have left some out into the mid 30s. I dont expect to do that on purpose with some of the more finicky varieties. I think cold and wet is more of a problem than just cold but not freezing. One 40 degree December morning the irrigation system ran and soaked my plants. I must have picked up a hundred still green leaves which just looked like they were ejected.

I really pay attention south of 40 degrees.

Tally...I almost got stuck on the Katy Freeway during that snow. They closed the freeway right after we went by. We were in our trusty Jeep 4x4. Here is the F.H. Bridge with snow on it as we were driving back home Christmas day.
